2010 Registration Instructions

All participating soccer players must be registered with the BPAA Soccer to play on a BPAA Soccer Team. If a team has any unregistered players, the games played using those players will be forfeited and disciplinary action may be taken.

See below for all of the rules on registrations, but note that not all of a player's requests for a team/park can be honored due to the following reasons:

  • Team sizes need to be equal so some players may be switched to another team/park to equal out team rosters.
  • Players may be moved in order to even out teams when one team is made up of mostly older or more experienced players.
  • Not enough players for a team/park.

BPAA Soccer uses the Brooklyn Park's Park and Recreation RecTrak system to handle all of our registrations. You may now register at your convenience using the same methods as you would for any Park and Recreation class.

Online registration requires an account on the city's registration system. You should already have an account if your family has ever registered for any class offered by the park and recreation department or if you have registered with the city for BPAA Soccer in prior years. If you need an account or need help accessing your account follow the instructions at the log-in page webtrac.brooklynpark.org.

If you have any questions and wish to meet a BPAA Soccer committee in person were are holding 3 registration events at the Brooklyn Park community center at the following dates and time:

  • Wednesday, May 5th, 7pm-9pm
  • Tuesday, May 11th, 7pm-9pm
  • Wednesday, May 19th, 7pm-9pm

Registration fee for the 2010 is $65 for all divisions.

After regular registration (ending May 31st) late registrations are accepted up until the start of the season and if there is room available.  No special requests for teams can be honored and the division coordinator has sole discretion on player placement. An additional $20 added to the fee and these players are assigned to teams in need of players as determined by the division coordinator.

Refunds of the registration (less $15 for registration handling) are given up to the start of the season (July 12). Once the season starts no refunds are given.

Financial aid in the form of scholarships for half the fee is available but must be applied for at one of the registration events or at the Community Center. Please bring a copy of your 1040 tax form from last year (2009).

Registration Methods:

  • In Person - at the Brooklyn Park Community Activity Center (customer service desk) during regular business hours (M-F 8am-closing) and on weekends.

Registration Rules

Only the child's parent or guardian can register a player at the Brooklyn Park Community Activity Center or online.
Players should sign up for one of the following parks. Check this city map to determine your park:

Brooklyn Center - Central Park, Evergreen Park

Brooklyn Park - Central Park, , Hamilton Park, Hartkopf Park, Ladbrook Park, Norwood Park, River Park, Sunnylane Park, Willowstone Park, or Woodland Park.

Important
If your child wants to play with a friend, both players must list each other on the registration form. Only those who have listed each other are guaranteed to be on the same team and players may only list one friend and that friend must also list them. For example, Pat lists Chris and Chris lists Pat. Chris and Pat will be placed on the same team.

Roster Comments entered during registration are not printed on the receipt and the only way to verify this information is to call BP Park and Rec office at 763-493-8363.

You may request that your child NOT be placed on a particular coach’s team, but you cannot request to be ON a particular coach’s team.
Placement on a team is decided by that division's coordinator and is considered final when the roster has been released to the coaches. Any movement of players from one team to another must be approved by the division coordinator.
Players will be notified by their coaches when the rosters have been handed out after the coach's meeting.
Players who refuses to play for the team they are assigned can get a refund (less $15) of their registration before the season starts, but are not allowed to re-register in an attempt to get on another team.
