Brooklyn Park Baseball Association 2010 Tryout & Clinic
 

Every player must try to make their scheduled tryout time in order to get properly scored. 
Any player that can not make their scheduled tryout time, may come to any of the other age groups posted times.  If they still can not make a tryout time, they must make arrangements at one of the registration dates.

Brooklyn Park Baseball Association in cooperation with the Hamline University Baseball program has scheduled the 2010 tryouts to take place on March 20^th at the Hamline University Fieldhouse.

The Hamline University Baseball program is recognized as one of the top baseball programs in the state and is a major supporter of youth baseball. They have years of experience in conducting coach & player clinics, and are excited to be working with our organization again this year. 

This year’s tryouts will be similar in format to last year. Hamline University Baseball will be conducting a baseball clinic along with tryouts, and player evaluations. The clinic is designed to better develop each child’s skills and fundamentals for all aspects of the game, and to make the tryout a fun and memorable experience. The Hamline University Baseball staff will conduct all of the evaluations.

There are four scheduled sessions during the day.  Each group will be involved in a 1½ hour clinic/tryout. There will be multiple stations set up throughout the fieldhouse. The stations will include throwing, catching, infield, outfield, hitting, running, and pitching. The pitching portion of the clinic is for educational purposes only and will not be used in the tryout score. Each child will be evaluated at the different stations by the staff and not made aware of when they are being evaluated. This allows the kids to relax, learn, excel, and to have fun without unneeded pressure and anxiety. With over 30 coaches and players in the clinic & evaluations, the kids will be able to demonstrate their skills.
